KERSTIN WEIß
studied Acting and Directing at the Folkwangschule in Essen, Germany. She has worked as director's assistant for productions at the German Schauspielhaeuser (acting theatres) in Essen and Wuppertal and the Cologne State Opera; collaborating with Michael Hampe, Giancarlo del Monaco, Günter Krämer and Andreas Homoki.
At the Cologne State Opera she staged the children's opera "Hansel and Gretel." As artistic director of the Young Chamber Opera of Cologne (Junge Kammeroper Koeln) she has staged successful productions of "The Marriage of Figaro", "Hansel and Gretel," "Die Fledermaus" and "Cosí fan tutte." Guest engagements as stage director have allowed work in various venues including the Landestheater Marburg, the State Opera in Magdeburg, opera theatre Bremerhaven and the National Theater in Tokyo.

She worked as artistic director from 2004-09 of the opera theatre in Nordhausen and in the season 2010/11 of the theatre in Vorpommern (Stralsund), Germany. The recent job as personal contributor of the theatre manager took her to the theatre Bielefeld. Kerstin Weiß shared the artistic directing of musica europa with Enke Eisenberg until august 2014. Now she manages the financial concerns for musca europa.


ANDRÉ HAMMERSCHMIED
studied Conducting and Piano at the „Mozarteum“ in Salzburg. As a pianist he debuted with the Camerata Salzburg at the „Salzburger Festspiele“ when he was 16 years old. Beside chamber concerts in Austria, Italy, Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands, he performed as a pianist and conductor at the Cologne State Opera, the Cantiere Internatzionale d’arte Montepulciano, the Symphony Orchestra Thessaloniki, Händel Festspiele Halle and the Hannover State Opera. During his engagement in Hannover he worked with directors like Peter Konwitschny and Calixto Bieto.

For musica europa he is responsible for the musical direction since 2014. He conducted DIDO & AENEAS and directed PEER GYNT as well as PELLÉAS et MÉLISANDE.


ENKE EISENBERG
has directed operas at several opera-companies in productions ranging from baroque, classical and romantic through contemporary music. From 2003-09 she, along with partners Esther and Inga Hilsberg, oversaw the growth and development of Chamber Opera Cologne, serving as artistic director for the last three years.  During these six years she was responsible for the production management, staging and touring management in Germany, Luxembourg, France and Switzerland. During that time, her staging of "The Chinese Nightingale“ (Opera for Children by Esther Hilsberg) had world premiere at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden.

November 2009 Enke Eisenberg left the Chamber Opera Cologne to concentrate on her main focus „contemporary music“ and the development of new profiles in musictheatre for children and teenagers. She is a member of the association for contemporary musictheatre for children (ASSITEJ). For musica europa she is responsible for the artistic direction and staged several GHOST OF THE CASTLE episodes as well as DIDO & AENEAS, PEER GYNT and
PELLÉAS et MÉLISANDE.
